Recipe: Greek yogurt cupcakes

one of the with greatest satisfaction things forth living half a mile from distributor joe’s is access to cheap greek yogurt. slow and barbed, greek yogurt gets its rich weave from straining, not from stabilizers, and lacks that sometimes unctuous feel of many commercial american brands. full-fat greek yogurt diverse with honey and nuts makes for the most hearty, luxurious breakfast; it’s also terrific doctored up with lemon force, salt and paprika and hand-me-down as sauce for the purpose iciness chicken or lamb. gena, over at big city, narrow-minded kitchen, has found another great use for greek yogurt: cupcakes. she simply second-hand full-fat fage (pronounced fah-yeh) as a substitute to lemony cream in a gourmet shiny cake recipe. though the yogurt is dense, the cupcakes came out as light and fluffy as if she’d beaten in egg whites. mixed with sugar, butter, and lemon liquid, it made a tart, cream cheese-like frosting. as a lover of sweet-sour yogurt gelato, i say mmmmm!review permalink email this comments
